A countryside fairy tale summer wedding

What a perfect summer’s day for Emily and Sam’s beautiful country wedding! Under bright blue skies, Sam & Emily started the day with a fairy tale wedding ceremony at historic St Leonard’s church in the picturesque Cotswold village of Bledington. Enjoying summer garden inspired flower designs.

Flowers in a summery colour palette of pastel colour shades of pale blue, pale pinks, lilac, and buttery yellows were perfect for the celebration. Using British-grown blooms including beautiful foxgloves, delphinium, roses, sweet peas, stocks and spray roses throughout the day. A pretty floral arch above the church doorway greeted guests. Inside the church country urns filled with more dreamy flowers dressed the windowsills and flowers on the upper ledges framed Emily and Sam during their romantic ceremony.

Emily’s bouquet of white and palest pink Peony with blush and ivory roses, cottage garden blooms and foliage complemented her stunning lace gown and long lace edged full length veil. Sam and his groomsmen wore morning suits with country inspired boutonniere of matching flowers. Pretty posies of flowers including pale blue Delphinium perfectly echoed the bridesmaid’s pale blue beaded dresses which were tied with trailing chiffon ribbons

The celebrations continued at the stunning nearby Merriscourt. Tables featured ‘mini meadow’ arrangements of dancing summer flower, which created a seamless continuation of the floral style. Each table was finished with beautifully hand painted stationery beautifully crafted by Sam’s talented sister matched the flower colours and country style just perfectly. Along with pretty glass candlesticks with a mix of powder blue, pale pink & ivory candles bringing it all together.

The windowsills and ledges in the elegant white barn enjoyed urns and flowers along with two foliage hoop chandeliers adding more country charm to their reception. Such a joy to create flowers for this wonderful family wedding.

Emily really loved the country garden romantic flowers for her beautiful late Spring early summer wedding. We chose a delicate colour palette of powder blue and pale pinks with fresh greens for a natural country garden country house vibe. I designed her flowers to meet her inspirations.
