The cotswolds
Sezincote house
I just loved creating flowers for this beautiful dual-ceremony wedding — blending the romance of an English church with the beauty and warmth of a Hindu celebration at stunning Sezincote House, what is not to love!
Jaya & James loved the vibrant colours of an Indian wedding. We used slightly softer shades of peach, coral, and pinks with touches of soft orange and fresh summer green foliage. These were perfect for both ceremonies. Jaya's favourite coral peony being the perfect focal bloom along with variations of dancing dahlia and garden roses.
The day began with a ceremony at the pretty historic church in Longborough, where meadow-style florals lined the upper aisle and in front of the decorative stone pulpit.
Jaya carried a naturally styled bouquet of Dahlia, Coral Peony, and Sweet Peas to complement her stylish Rosa Clara gown with a navy satin ribbon to match James’s classic navy spotted tie worn with is morning suit. Bridesmaids wore warm tones of coral, peach, and terracotta and carried smaller posies of the same delightful colours.
The celebrations continued at nearby Sezincote House, with its Indian Mughal architecture and beautiful gardens, was the perfect place for their Hindu ceremony and grand reception to take place. An elegant wooden Mandap was installed in front of the beautiful glass curved Orangery which we decorated with abundant fresh flowers. Handmade flower garlands in vibrant shades of orange and pink romantically draped and meadow flowers lined the aisle.
Guests gathered under a clear-sided marquee for the reception. Floral table flowers in the days colours and gold candlesticks created an exotic look along with elegant Ester & Erik candles in vibrant coral, ivory and peach creating a cohesive look to whole marquee. Natural wicker lanterns, and twinkling lights created a soft, luxurious, Indian-inspired atmosphere overlooking the Cotswold hills.
The palette perfectly complemented Jaya’s stunning Hindu bridal gown and gold jewellery, and James’s ivory Sherwani and traditional headpiece. We created delicate Jaimala garlands in soft pink, peach, and cappuccino tones with touches of ruby red roses — a romantic finishing touch to harmonise beautifully with their attire and the joyful setting.
