It was a joy to work with James and Jaya, from our first meeting and discussing their exciting plans for a celebration of cultures in just one day it was an exciting project. They wanted flowers for such a heartfelt celebration to perfect for both an country church to the warmth and colour of a Hindu ceremony at beautiful Sezincote House.
Jaya and James loved the vibrancy of an Indian wedding, but a more subtle variation. We chose a softer interpretation of those joyful colour so the flowers would feel harmonious across both ceremonies. Coral Peonies being Jaya’s favourite flower was featured throughout the day, accompanied with beautiful seasonal summer flowers in a gorgeous colour palette of warm peach, coral and pink tones, accented with soft orange and fresh summer foliage.

The day began with a Church ceremony in the picturesque Cotswold village of Longborough. Meadow flowers lined the beautiful upper aisle and pulpit, perfectly complementing the charm and intimacy of the historic church setting.
Jaya looked incredible in her Rosa Clara bridal dress. She carried a garden inspired natural bouquet which included coral Peony, Dahlias and sweet peas, and other British grown flowers, tied with a navy satin ribbon. The ribbon echoed James’s classic navy spotted tie worn with morning dress, while her bridesmaids wore beautiful dresses in a mix of warm shades of coral, peach, and terracotta, each carrying delicate posies in the same romantic palette.

Celebrations continued at the stunning Sezincote House located nearby, known for its Mughal and Georgian architecture and beautiful Humphry Repton designed gardens. It made the perfect setting for their Hindu ceremony and reception.
A beautiful mahogany carved mandap frame was constructed on the lawn beside Sezincote House’s beautiful carp ponds and fountains. With the wonderful curved majestic orangery for a backdrop.
We adorned the Mandap frame with abundant fresh flowers and vines in the same beautiful colours of the day.
Traditional Indian flower garlands in vibrant orange and pink carnations were draped from side to side of the Mandap, creating a seamless continuation of the day. Meadow flowers full of summer florals lined the aisle leading up to the Mandap, bringing a sense of nature along with larger meadow flower designs adorning the front of the Mandap stage for an immersive look for the magical ceremony.

The colour palette beautifully complemented Jaya’s exquisite Hindu crimson and gold bridal saree and veil with beautiful gold jewellery she looked stunning. James’s wore an ivory sherwani and traditional headpiece. I made them both Jaimala garlands in soft pink, peach and cappuccino Carnations with touches of ruby red roses for the ceremony. Lots of fresh rose petals provided the romantic finishing touches to the ceremony.
The afternoon began with the grooms and guests arriving with a traditional baraat procession up to the Mandap with drumming and vibrant magenta and gold smoke flares. This was followed by the ceremony under the Mandap. Truly magical!

Guests gathered for the reception beneath a clear-sided marquee overlooking the rolling Cotswolds hills in front of the magnificent Sezincote house and orangery. Tables were set with gold vintage table urns full of blooms. Accessorised with matt gold candlesticks and a mix of coral, ivory & peach candles with matching coral linen napkins. Natural wicker lanterns and twinkling lights dressed the ceiling. The result was a soft, luxurious atmosphere with subtle Indian-inspired elegance. We re-positioned the glorious meadow flowers around their top table and in front of their beautiful cake.

Into the evening Jaya looked stunning in a silver sequinned gown and guests enjoyed music into the night.
A wonderful day filled with beauty – a true celebration of love, heritage, and style.
